Good for you. Funny you posted about medicare today, I just received the 2023 plan update for our Humana Advantage plan, and on the medicare front these plans appear to be getting better going forward, at least for now. Two years ago for us there was no cost to see a primary care physician, and $25 to see a specialist. Now it's $15 bucks to see a specialist. $120 for an ER visit, now $90. Huge upgrade in dental benefits, used to be 50% coverage for fillings, no coverage for root canals, now both are covered with no copay. Even dentures are now covered, and the yearly 2k max for dental is now 5k, which is significant. I had surgery for an inguinal hernia this year, the surgeon used one of these machines, and my out of pocket cost was $100. (You don't want to know what they actually billed, although Humana paid a small fraction of it). Bottom line, I am thankful for the coverage. I know people with health insurance in the corporate world that have 5k deductibles and significant copays in addition, which seems to be the trend.
