Nice to see you think so highly of LSI. And nice to see the market agrees with you as well. But time will tell.

---

BTW who has 80% of the explosive Fibre Channel market's design wins?

And who has a lock on the explosive Digital Camera chip market?

And who has probably the 2nd or 3rd leading position in the DVD market? (one area that should be explosive is PC DVD and that begins Q1)

And whose std. cell business is growing something in the range of 30%+ a year? And which chip field is expected to grow at 30% CAGR over the next few years (Hint: Std. cell)? [LSI is giving up the low end gate array market and it's in that cut-throat area with pitiful margins where you can enjoy your smugness.]

And more recently who put the ASICs in Cisco's GFR?

Who has strong relationships with market leaders like SONY and SUN and CSCO?

Who went to LSI when they could not find anyone with the skills to build the complicated PlayStation chips and more recently the DVD chips? (Sony the company currently getting 25% of their profits from the PlayStation and related sales. I'd say they're happy with LSI. And what of Sega?)

Who is well positioned in the networking area as PLD's are abandoned in favor of high density ASICs? (Check next month's Red Herring magazine for a full section on this.)

From virtually 0% 3 years ago who is 2nd behind Sony in the overall consumer electronics chips market? And further who is top 2 or 3 in something like 5 or 7 of the top ranked and fastest growing consumer electronics chip areas.

You sound like sour grapes to me.

Well enjoy your arrogance for now.

And no I do not dislike VLSI - I like them AND LSI.

---

LSI's not mediocre - you must be hallucinating again.

Tough for me to see how such a mediocre company is associated with so many high profile companies and high profile design wins.
