I've never tracked the value of my home. That is my wife's department. I bought my home at the bottom of GFC. It was the lowest price in the block for the 5 years before or since. But I didn't buy it as an investment and never considered flipping it, despite many calls (and many friends and neighbors who did). If I had done that, I could have quite literally made a few million. But I love where I am. When I bought this place, I thought to myself, this where I will raise my kids and where I will retire. I'm happy with that choice.
