*OT* "NITE" is the trading turret nickname for Knight Securities, a big OTC market-maker owned as a consortium by a number of broker-dealer firms. It's their "handle", if you will, by which they are known on the screens to the other market-makers, who also have "nicknames" of their own. Sorta like stocks, themselves.
