Rob, I don't know anything about Nextband other than what I read on bulletin boards and press releases. Teledesic, according to both Teledesic and Nextel, will be a fixed land line based LEO system and not used for wireless. Whether Nextel customers will be able to link up with Teledesic in the future remains to be seen but it's clear to me that Teledesic has a different target market than Iridium and Globalstar, both of which target wireless. As to NXTL's price, I've often said that we're on the right side of the handle in a cup and handle formation. Since the early December lows, we've consistently had higher highs and higher lows. That speaks CONSIDERABLY more than NXTL's failure to move up yesterday. So what I'm saying is, the move up actually began after the December low. Yes, we're on our way to test 32 but who knows how soon it will happen. I've said this before and I'll say it again: If you want to see what's going on, look at NXTL's long term weekly chart, noting the period from 1/15/93 to 7/1/93. We are seeing a REPEAT of that pattern. As you can see, the stock ran to 55 from there. I don't know if we'll get that far or not but I wouldn't bet against it. No one has a crystal ball but NXTL's chart provides me with as clear a pattern as you'll find anywhere. Their fundos don't hurt either. :-)
As to price drops, if you're referring to the drop below 28, it's just noise. Nothing more, nothing less. HERE'S WHAT TO LOOK FOR ON THE CHART: HIGHER HIGHS, HIGHER LOWS. THE REST IS NOISE.
