Let me try to explain my account with Fidelity, I have only one account with them and within that account I asked for margin, options, short and cash account. In a sense they are all under one account number but when I get a monthly report it's divided in sections(no other account numbers). What I did I asked them to move everything to margin account(section) so I don't have to worry about having money in cash account. I usually have enough buying power from other stocks that I don't have to worry about cash account. Whenever I deposit money it goes towards my margin debit bal and if I don't have any margin debit it goes to money market fund. If your account is like mine just tell you account rep to move everything to margin side of your account.
