Did you account for close to open risk, slippage, and commissions?

The transaction costs can be very big with options. I don't think I would want to roll over 7 or even 6 figure option positions every week. With the monthlies, they typically roll them on Thursday so it is not a big dump and they can manage it the next day.

What you could do is buy QYLD and SQQQ and sell 1 sigma out of money covered calls on SQQQ. Since SQQQ converges to zero, you could even sell further out calls if the market has recently crashed.
