While I don't agree with a total ban, it looks like Canada just followed the US example. US bans dog imports from more than 100 countries - BBC News Maybe tighter regulation or even import limits would be the way to go? That said, it sounds like there is no shortage of dogs available for adoption in North America. Maybe we should look after our resident dogs first?
