as a people we need to open our eyes and realize that our government has become entirely dysfunctional.
Think about this.

Republicans used to be the party of less government, not counting the pro-military stance during the Bush years.

Now the GQP is demanding that their leaders wield power to force themselves upon the rest of society.

Abortion is a big example. Now that Roe v. Wade is gone, state governments are stepping up and enforcing a ban on abortion. Whatever your stance is on killing unborn babies, you cannot deny that enforcing such laws represent a huge increase in government intervention.

The mandates AGAINST masks and vaccines is another example. It's one thing to oppose mask and vaccine mandates, but it's yet another to force private entities to accept the maskless and the unvaccinated. Republicans used to be all about the right to refuse service to anyone. Now the GQP is hardly distinguishable from the Democrats when it comes to abolishing that right.

And for what? Just to cater to those who think that masks and vaccines are bad but COVID-19 is just like the fluuuuuuu? Those people are free to believe whatever they want, but they can't force themselves upon the rest of us if they don't want us to force ourselves upon them.

Don't get me started on Rand Paul's crusade to take down Dr. Fauci and the vaccine manufacturers, Pfizer and Moderna. It used to be just Democrats who were anti-Big Pharma. Now it's the GQP.

Both parties have fallen in love with Big Government. And it's alarming.
