And the KGB, as controlled by the COMMUNIST USSR, may very well have been "ruthless" within certain components of its Establishment.

But the Russia of today, the RUSSIAN FEDERATION, is not COMMUNIST. It is a country where Elections are held and the Russian citizens vote to elect representatives. That certainly wasn't the case prior to 1991 when Communists were in charge .....
