Sticking with the analogy, Ritter is the worst performing mutual fund in the S&P 500. His past predictive performance, despite pronouncing them with absolute certainly is terrible.
Ha! A person can be a lousy loosing trader and investor - but an excellent analyst. That’s not uncommon. So, taken carefully, his analysis can still be valuable… :)

You’re smart, GS - but often - likely, most of the time - our smarts are merely servants of our emotions. And emotions, by definition, make us un-objective. I think it’s wise to avoid seeing this war in terms like Good vs Evil - or who first pulled the trigger.

There are deep reasons for this war, going back a long time. Don’t forget that the underlying conflict between Russia and the West is very real - and, in a critical way, it is playing out in Ukraine. Why that conflict even exists? I’m really not sure. It’s a long story. But it is real. Got to keep it in the equation.
