>> Like I said before, Sweden opted to forego lockdowns, unlike their Nordic neighbors.

It wasn't exactly that. Trump said what you're saying:
. . . the former President of the United States, Donald Trump, tweeted that “despite reports to the contrary, Sweden is paying heavily for its decision not to lockdown. As of today (April 30, 2020), 2462 people have died there, a much higher number than the neighboring countries of Norway (207), Finland (206), or Denmark (443)”
But even this isn't so simple. As with many things, a bifurcated approach would likely have been more successful -- where those who were at greater risk than younger people.

We had people in this country putting masks on their five years-old kids and actually giving them vaccines. I think they may still be doing it. Even though they were at virtually no risk of getting the original Covid. Insane.

Sweden's policy failed to consider the risks of various strata within the population, and we did here, as well -- but in the other direction.

I can't really conclude they got it all wrong because I didn't follow close their approach; my understanding is that they essentially said they would let nature take its course which would ultimately provide herd immunity.

I can't really conclude Sweden was a terrible failure in its treatment as of now. But they should have acknowledged there are high-risk individuals and done more to help protect them rather than letting nature just take its course.
