>> And why didn't any of the poorer nations who were hit hard by COVID-19, including India, rely on these oh so safe, effective, and easily available treatments?

Actually, they did. It doesn't make a lot of news here, if the leadership chooses for it not to.

This Indian slum contained a possible COVID-19 disaster with hydroxychloroquine - LifeSite (lifesitenews.com)

I have a friend in Mumbai, a software engineer who followed this stuff closely in India. He reads my posts on FB and I read his on this subject. One day he emailed me after one of the articles where India was "outlawing" HCQ. He said to me that I should make no mistake, people are consuming a lot of HCQ in spite of government trying to tamp it down. India obviously had massive availability since they make most of it and use it for Malaria extensively. In some areas HCQ is sold in corner stores. People buy it like we buy headache relievers, anyway.

I think in this areas there was a lot of HCQ in use.

My real issue with HCQ and IVM is that they are both HARMLESS DRUGS, and there was plenty of support for the idea of the therapeutic application. AFTER ALL, THE DRUGSTORE HAD NOTHING ELSE TO GIVE US.

My regular physician in Texas is of Indian descent and supported the use of both HCQ and IVM. When asked straight out about the use of these drugs, he responded that he had treated upwards of 2,000 patients with them. He is an Internist, but has moved toward "functional medicine". He didn't go into detail about results but I do believe if he wasn't getting good results he wouldn't have continued to use these medicines.

But just as happened with the mask research, anyone who supported the use of HCQ or IVM was shut down dramatically by the Tech monopolies. Lives were lost as a result. I'm not sure who we are supposed to see about that.
