Hi gregor,
I really want to know about the tithe. I'll concede that Abraham gave Melchizedek a tenth of the spoils. Then the tithe was later incorporated into the law. Then Jesus came and set us free from "the law of sin and of death." We now live under the law of grace,
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind and soul; and love your neighbor as yourself."
"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death."
Ananias & Safira dropped dead for lying to the Holy Spirit (testing God) not keeping back part of the money for the land.
Is seems to me that if God wanted the 10% to continue to be valid then He would have made that clear. It is not. The New Testament does not even touch on the subject. Is tithing 10% putting ourselves under the law again?

Phil. 4:19
"And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
