Do you know which computers those are or can you provide a link that gives more info? I can't find any info about Macs without the 3.5mm stereo jack. I did see the 2021 and later laptops have adaptive ones that feature DC load detection and adaptive voltage output for headphones and line-level devices, but that's it.

The only mention I can find is Apple removing that jack from iOS devices.

There are also workarounds for using most other kinds of audio file formats on Macs with different software, it's just not made by Apple.

Yes, so your gripe is what exactly?

As a good friend once told me when we were teens, you don't have to do anything. Not here in the U.S. anyway, and not at our socioecomic status. He meant it as a joke at he time, but it's basically true.

If you want to use equipment that still has wired connections for devices you'll likely always be able to, but you will have to adapt to figure out how to keep that hardware and software working together once company support for it disappears. That can take decades.
