Substance or meaning is relative, always has been. For some, making lots of money means a lot. For others, it is just a means to an end. In a capitalist society, money talks, always has. You looking for fairness, justice or equality? You are barking up the wrong tree. You are in the wrong system. Not that socialism or communism is any fairer. It is just a different system. There is nothing to be sad or outraged about the Kardashian deal. That's how things work in the USA. Time and money saved going to trial produces pragmatic deals. As Sinatra says, " that's life" in the USA. Now it's time for you to get on your high liberal horse and tell me that I have no morals. But morality in many instances is based on sentiment, as David Hume understood, not a categorical imperative, as Kant would say.
