They're the de facto standard when it comes to public health issues.

Not trusting them is like not trusting the FAA. Or the FDA.

You might as well give up flying. Or eating food that isn't homegrown.

Heck, let's stop trusting the Department of Transportation. Can't drive down interstate highways now, since you never know if a bridge is going to collapse because of those "corrupt" DOT officials.

FCC? Screw them, let's just design electronic devices that interfere with communications, especially at the airport (see FAA above).

I could go on and on, but I think I've said enough.

It's one thing to have a healthy skepticism of Big Government. But it's yet another thing to go full conspiracy theory mode.

That's the hallmark of the Q Continuum, in a nutshell.
