Wharfie, I admit initially falling for the lies, that RuZZians and Ukrainians are essentially the same people, and that it didn't matter whether Ukraine was ruled by one corrupt politician or another.

Two things changed my mind:

1) PooTin's overextensions, which themselves were based on clear delusions regarding NATO and America's existential threats to RuZZia's existence.

2) Zelensky's courage and his ability to lead Ukrainians, who VASTLY favor fighting for their independence over welcoming their potentially new Z-overlords.

That was enough to convince me that this wasn't a "local territorial dispute."

Being a descendant of a nation (Korea) who itself used to be conquered by a brutal, rapacious imperial power (Japan), I can also culturally relate to Ukrainians.
