To be clear, I have no objection to the vaccines. I believe they were a solution to the original virus, and maybe the Delta variant. We took the original vaccination as soon as it came out as my wife was suffering from severe heart failure and we were obviously concerned at that time. We got one boost, but drew the line there as more reports of or problems and inefficacy seemed to show up. At the same time, her heart condition was significantly improving and the whole thing became less of a concern to us. And of course, the virus basically went away some time ago and we decided to live life as best we could without nonsense like masks and doing business at restaurants that required them, and so on. I believe at the end of the day the national health infrastructure (Fauci, Birx, and the others) did the country a great disservice. OTOH, if the only tool you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail. I understand why they did it. I'm sure there have been many instances in my life when I chased what I believed were software problems because software is what I know about. Things that turned out to be something different.
