Nuclear winter would put an end to that discussion. However, I suspect that nobody is saying, "Let's not build that new wind farm, cuz the world might end in 30 weeks."
-- "Thanks to the world putting the cart before the horse, we became much more dependent on RuZZian fossil fuels than ever before"
Most of the world still uses carbon as the primary energy source, but isn't buying Russian carbon, so we are less dependent on Russia. Was the world ready to go cold-turkey on Russia? No. Before the war, did countries have plans to commission enuf alternative energy sources this year to replace Russian energy? No. Those who relied on Russian energy are definitely making a sacrifice, in the name of "Western democracy", and those who didn't rely on Russia, but still rely on carbon, might find themselves out-bid on the global market.
I think the only country to put the cart B4 the horse was Germany, which decommissioned nukes before building replacements. That was because of Fukashima, not global warming.

"That, more than anything the Boss Baby did, encouraged PooTin to invade Ukraine."
I think Boss Baby's failed insurrection gave Putin all the encouragement he needed. With Trump out of office, he knew Biden would never give him the keys to Kiev, so he need war to re-build the Russia Empire of his youth..
I know you would like to blame everything on Biden, but OPEC production peaked under Obama, turned down the month Trump was elected, later collapsed on his watch, and still hasn't recovered, as you can see from this graph.
The OPEC Monthly Oil Market Report (MOMR) for September 2022 was published recently. The last month reported in most of the OPEC charts that follow is August 2022 and output reported for OPEC nations is crude oil output in thousands of barrels per day (kb/d). In most of the OPEC charts that follow the blue line is monthly output and the red line is the centered twelve month average (CTMA) output.
