As an aside, I have smoke pot off and on for almost 60 years. My kid makes me chocolates now.

One of the primary reasons I like it, is that it does allow me to have profound ideas I cannot get when straight.

And I know they are different thinking because I read them when straight.

Carl Sagan was a pot smoker and wrote the book Broca's Brain.

In the book, his theory is that he thinks the left brain rides rough shod over the right brain. When one gets stoned, it ties up the left brain which cannot deal with pot, and allows the right brain to roam.

Robert Ornstein, one of the great experimental psychologists, and expert on the bicameral brain had this to say about each hemisphere:

The left brain is involved in sequential logic.

The right brain is involved in the simultaneous juxtapostion of things.

And that comports with my experiences :)<.

I am not a drinker or drug taker.
