The late Heinz Blaznik wrote an excellent backgrounder piece on Ukraine many years ago that is still instructive regarding how the country was cobbled together with different ethnic groups ...resulting in ongoing tensions. He wrote this at the time either leading up to the color revolution or shortly after. Wish I could find it. But the idea of Ukraine as some monolithic people is cr^p. The ethnic Russians in the east have been abused and despite what the MSM tells you, may indeed prefer to be a part of Russia. What about their rights and desire to live peacably?
