WM, MAI

Wallbridge Mining aka WM released more drill results from its latest drill campaign at the Martiniere gold project, located on the Detour-Fenelon gold trend in Quebec. (Martiniere is located about halfway between WM's flagship Fenelon gold project and Agnico Eagle's Detour gold mine.) So far WM has established the existence of three deposits on the property. The exploration hole reported today extended mineralization about 200m to the east with the headline result being 4.07 g/t Au over 24.10 m, including 67.65 g/t Au over 1.10 m.

Assays from several more exploration holes are pending, and there will be an updated Resource Report released in Q1 which will incorporate the 30km of drilling from this drill campaign. I expect a major increase to the combined 800k oz Au in the Indicated and Inferred categories.

The IKN newsletter did a major feature on Minera Alamos aka MAI following the release of a PEA for Cerro de Oror, which will become the its second gold mine it has built in Mexico,, as well as several new presentations. I won't give much detail, given that IKN is a paid publication, but he echoes something I had been thinking; given the simplicity of the build at Cerro de Oror and the company's experience at building this type of mine in Mexico, that they really don't need to go the trouble and expense of doing a PFBS before making the construction decision. We also agree that given the delays at Santana, however unavoidable and/rt not their fault, they need to get Cerro de Oror up and running on schedule, the most problematic issue being permits.
