Why would Brandon feel the need to comment on a local matter like this? The conversation in question was done in private. A lot of stuff said during that conversation was likely taken out of context. The entire audio was a half-hour long, and I really doubt Brandon took the time to listen to it all.

It's like Brandon commenting on something that appeared here on SI. Why should he give a Brandon?
