"I think anyone who knows anything about that part of the world is shocked." No Ukrainian is shocked, maybe shell-shocked from living too close to Russians. I can forgive Ukrainians for fighting alongside Nazis trying to get rid of Russians. I have lived in Kiev and Lviv and don't pretend to know more than anyone else, but I have seen Ukrainian government corruption first-hand and know Ukrainians are there own worst enemy. It will take ten times the money spent in Afghanistan to hold off the Russians and in the end ruins and Russian rule, Ukraine will be a truly canceled culture. And of course what is Ukraine? Ukraine was not always Ukraine and has changed hands and gone back and forth many ways over the centuries.
