I read Musk turned it off over Ukrainian territories that decided to join Russia by referendum, probably over the Russian threat to take out the satellites. Musk said that he was told by Ukrainians to “fuck off”, and he followed
that recommendation. He said the freebies cost too much for his company and suggested Pentagon picked up
the bill.
