Yes, the Soviets raped German women. But German Nazis also raped the Soviets to the tune of 27 MILLION dead. Those were VERY different times. Levels of anger and hatreds were immeasurably higher.

Even back then it wasn’t a free-for-all. Read that many of those who participated had to face military courts. But the memory of those events is still useful to today’s spinmeisters.
