There are not enough charging stations to take electric cars seriously. I have seen a few charging stations at Carl Jr's, a hamburger place. If you are traveling, you cannot depend on an electric vehicle. I know because we have been living in Airbnb's in Arizona and CA over the past year. The 100 mile ride from Indio, CA to Blythe, CA on I-10 has nothing, not even a gas station.

The vast majority of cars on the road are non-electric. Electric cars are the Future. But prices need to come down, along with a lot more charging stations right off the major interstates. I would have bought an electric vehicle if it was practical.
