Sorry, Tweets. My perception is that the MSM went in to hyper-drive right before the advent of covid and never looked back -- which was coincident with all the cancellation BS that got started about the same time.

Problem with most of the cr&p on Ukraine -- like almost every other conflict -- zero historical context.

It's only without that historical context that one can take the caricature of Putin as wanton aggressor -- land-grabber wanting to rebuild the USSR seriously. It's nonsense. He was baited the whole way by the west.

Some would not read a Putin speech -- but would rather hear someone else on his imputed motives. I'm not saying the guy doesn't lie or put up a front, only that he was clear why Russia invaded and that they considered what was happening to be a threat to their security.
