Re: Young Folk Portfolio -- Add On Buys & Sells

Portfolio Objective:

The portfolio value needs to grow at an 8.25% CAGR.
The dividend cash flows need to grow at a 13.8% CAGR.

A full position in the Taxable Account is $8,000.
A full position in the Roth Account is $4,000.

For the average investor (me), bear markets are a normal part of the buy and hold investing experience, and a passive strategy like dollar-cost averaging can be the best way to lower cost basis and set oneself up for success once the market eventually turns around.

Today I sold GIS which generated $3,036.46 to reinvest elsewhere within the Taxable Account.

Today I added to:

D ...... 20 shares @ $65.04
DPZ .. 2 shares @ $322.32
NKE .. 6 shares @ $89.54
SYY .. 7 shares @77.72

The objective here was to add to the smaller positions in this account and try to bring them up to a full position of $8,000.

Today's add on buys brought these positions up in size to:

D ...... $8,051.25 now a full position
DPZ .. $7,348.50
NKE .. $7,247.75
SYY .. $7,506.54

GIS was the last holding I expect to sell in this account. The Taxable Account now consists of 20 companies and the Roth holds 28.

Future purchases will go into DPZ, NKE and SYY until they too are full positions.
