COREL, PATRIOT GIVING TO KIDS
HI-TECH COMPANIES DONATE $100GS TO CHILDREN'S MIRACLE NETWORK

By SUSAN TAYLOR -- Ottawa Sun
Savvy marketing by Patriot Computers and Corel is paying dividends for the corporations and charity.
Yesterday, the two companies presented a $100,000 cheque to the Children's Miracle Network.
The funds were raised in nine months under an innovative Computers 4 Kids program organized by Toronto-based Patriot Computer Corp.
"This program has definitely hit the bulls-eye," said Michael Cowpland, president and CEO of Corel.
Patriot developed a specialized computer package designed for families. Corel supplies about half the software, ranging from WordPerfect Suite 8 to Print & Photo House and Corel READ.
