You may be right about the connection between the pipeline issue - and the “natural disaster” legislation.

I’m convinced that the Russians, at this point, do not need nukes. Just look what happened over the past couple of weeks, since they started “addressing” the Ukr infrastructure. This shows that it was true - they fought with an eye towards causing a minimal amount of damage. The moment they started acting like it’s a real war - everything changed.

Read today that the reason they’ve left alone several very important energy infrastructure objects was that they use them as leverage - threatening to attack those objects IF the dam on Dnipro gets destroyed, causing widespread flooding. Supposedly, the US, nato and Ukraine were all informed about this.
