Yet again, you show your lack of understanding of the economy; There isn't just one cause of inflation like you are pretending. The economy is much more complex than what you are trying to claim. There are two sides of the equation, the money supply and the available goods. An imbalance will cause inflation or deflation, depending on what is out of balance. The global logistical chains got screwed up under Trump. Which is why the inflation is global. There are local events that affect the inflation rate in various countries, which is why it can differ from country to country. But the fact that it is global shows the weaknesses in your simplistic model. When you look at the overall inflation rates, you see that the US is far from the highest. Nor is it the lowest. Now I will point out that countries which practice what are now US Republican approaches to the economy have the highest inflation rates, but that is a side issue.

I know you revere ol' Milton. But his ideas on economies inevitably leads to short term growth but fail in the long term, leading to cycles of booms and busts. That has happened to every country that have implemented his ideas. The more they commit, the worse the fallout. And that does serious damage to any middle class because it tends to funnel wealth upwards. You seem to think that your faith in certain ideas and people can override reality. But that isn't true.
