Kasparov was great at chess in the early 1990s, but as I expected about 1972, but others said "rubbish, computers will never beat people at chess", computers won.
I watched Kasparov get smashed by Deep Blue and walk off stage waving his arms in frustration.
In recent decades, he joined the swarms of disaffected who hated the USSR and the subsequent Russia authoritarian style. Fair enough too. Putin's regime did a lot of poisoning, including with lead bullets. But that's the nature of governments and the UK and USA do the same. Julian Assange has been gaoled as a political prisoner. Edward Snowden - same except he escaped to freedom in Russia. Count the corpses produced by USA in the last 60 years = they have caused vastly more carnage than Russia has done, though USSR was world champion along with Germany in the earlier 20th century. Napalm and carpet bombing in Vietnam was horror galore for the Vietnamese. Syria has has bulk killing with USA still, right now, occupying parts in a completely plain outright invasion - yet Americans and others whine like a fleet of Koreans that invading countries is bad. Iraq was also invaded by George Bush II coz of Office of Disinformation WMDs with affirmative action Colin Powell blathering on at the UN. Hordes of dead later, with Mission Accomplished, the Special Military Operation was a great failure though they did succeed in killing Saddam and his horrible sons which was not all bad.
Call a truce and tell Kasparov to get a real job. Elon is much more credible = since he copied/pasted my solution from March when Elon was offering to fight Putin one on one for Ukraine, which was a dopey idea and will have exacerbated the situation.
