That is a very good point as I am personally very much opposed to abortion, but remain steadfastly pro choice.

I have known many young women who were vehemently pro life, but once they got accidentally pregnant, they ran to have an abortion because they could not afford a child and wanted to devote themselves to their higher education.

Accidents happen even while using protection and there is no reason to legislate morality in the name of G-d, especially when we don't know G-d's view on abortion.

There are many evil, destructive people in the world who use G-d to justify their criminal behaviour. That is one of the reasons why the founding fathers separated Church from State.
