Interesting. I just found out that Searle (MTC) is also working on an anti-inflammatory drug but are much farther along (phase III w/10,000 patients enrolled). This is from a Yahoo! thread, I'm trying to get it confirmed. I am long on both Monsanto and Novartis, so even if their anti-inflammatory products compete, I figure I'm covered. By the way, I heard the same things about the Searle drug - highly effective with no adverse side effects. The Searle product is supposed to hit the market in 1999.
