joe, dell calls are concentrated at $108; shorting dell lower than this becomes risk averse. volume trades of dell on the downtick are smaller than volume trades on the uptick relative to oscillation which generally implies that more money is still to be made on the upside longterm. you can use any number of technical analyses regarding dell, none of which have worked well in the past because dell continues to put out the numbers. so shorting dell appears to be a short term trade or to hedge your long position. dell has much growth to execute in europe, the americas (non US) and through internet sales

so, we own both cpq and dell as a hedge as well
