UPDATE 1-Chile's government, miners still clashing over mining royalty bill My money is telling me it would be far happier to continue just avoiding Chile... ? They're never going to be satisfied... in itself ensuring a lack of market stability that makes it not investment worthy. As always, the little guys get crushed... which in itself forces costs higher... forces more of the same in the aggregation process... etc. I did own World Copper from last year... in at the lows, below $0.30, from before and then as it completed the name change... Got out near $1 at the peak... It has only improved its position since then... exploration continues proving value... but, its trading below $0.20 today... looking flat and likely to stay that way without some reason to expect change ? I noted the shift coming long ago and said "sell everything in S. America" last year... and still held that one for a bit... good rocks... good management... but no real reason to want to own it now ? I expect "drift" is going to continue... Until it doesn't... Not feeling much urgency to participate in markets, just now... as should be apparent from my six month sabbatical... Poking at things only in a general way now... not doing any specific DD on anything... Looks to me like there's little potential for meaningful positive change until November... limits still then... and, otherwise, risks continue growing heavier a straw at a time purely as a time function... with camels backs having limits discoverable only after the fact... I'm more focused on "projects" than markets these days... which I expect to remain true for some time...
