United Healthcare runs the State's top fund of managed healthcare. Other health funds are primarily Federally funded. In terms of the thread, I don't want to get sidetracked in terms of arguing whether being vaccinated or not was the right thing to do healthwise. What I do want to emphasize, however, is that most Nevadans did not take well to the increased State health premiums for the non-vaxed and strict mask restrictions in the State and some of these people were registered Democrat voters. The Nevada State legislature passed a very liberal abortion law years ago allowing abortions with no questions asked up to 6 or 7 months after conception. There is a general mistrust of government amongst Nevadans - and that includes liberals- and the general consensus is that Sisolak went to far, way to far in regulating social policies in regard to Covid.

I expect a backlash. Whether it results in a popular, female, Hispanic, liberal Senator losing her seat remains to be seen. Democrats swept the State in 2016 when Trump got elected. So, I don't think the mood or shift of the country will affect Nevada at all. State politics will be the determining factor if the Dems lose Nevada.
