I’m really not sure - is it truly a new era, or just a mass hysteria about abandoning fossil fuels first - and looking for a reliable replacement later.

My son owns a Tesla - and it’s a very pleasing car. A computer on wheels, good stereo, great acceleration, fine ride. But it’s also expensive. They’re promoting the notion of changing it all exclusively to EV within a few years. Sounds cool, but I doubt it will happen. Maybe it’s a conspiracy to decrease the population of California? Everyone who’s not a early adopter to progressive ideas - and who cannot afford an EV - can take their clunkers and move to flyover country…. :)
