My analysis of Lula's victory:
There will be no return to the Happy 2000s as his voters thought. Brazil has changed. The world economy has changed. Those who voted for Lula thinking about immediate reward: "Just vote for Lula and the year 2005 economy will magically come back" will have great disappointment. That is: there is no Commodity Supercycle this time around.

And this disillusionment will be the cause of the end of his PT party for his party is dead man walking. He promised but he can't deliver.

But note that, unlike in the 2000s, he won't be able to do his backroom deals behind closed doors, everyone will be watching him because everbody already know Lula's caliber. Who will pay the bill for Lula's victory will be the Brazilians because we will have the years from 2012 to 2016 back. Brazil will have tough 4 years ahead
