I think education is important - and so is religion. People need a connection with something eternal - and greater than they are. Secular ethics doesn’t work - we can rationalize the living lights out of anything. Also, in any secular society people immediately invent tons of sheissy quasi-religions, from various forms of marxism to critical race racism.
