the Russians might just denominate their carbon energy sales in terms of not just rubles, rubble or not, gold, falling or otherwise, but in terms of cheap, use-less, but critical low-end chips, in which case chips would have to be diverted as China chips not welcomed by coalition of the willing should the chips war go to the next level

Germany and Japan might be able to do without energy, or low-end chips, and rare earths, but am doubtful they can do without or even with less of all three at the same time
