Durham will continue to produce 150mm power devices and the 100mm RF production will remain in place (rather than being shut down).

Don't think RF is moving from 150mm for a while. There is a wild card in that a couple of groups are using semi-insulating substrates which RF uses for optical devices intended for power applications. Very high voltage power grid applications and they have gotten some impressive efficiencies. Those groups like to talk about an upcoming grid replacement cycle. Semi-insulating is also what gets used in quantum research.

My point is that once you get out diametered you are at risk of staying that way. IPGP is a company that got out diametered and thought they could talk their way out of it by saying German chips were better than Chinese chips. Yet their competition was actually from Switzerland.
