I used an annual figure of ~200M -220 M iPhones units and bumped up the JAS quarter of QCOM modem units to 70 – 80 million (CY avg 50- 60m) to compensate for robust annual launch / holiday sales. The nomenclature 2023 launch is confusing. QCOM’s initial guidance on this issue was during the 2021 Investor Day (Nov 2021). I don’t believe QCOM was providing guidance for FY23 at that time. It’s something like new auto models that debut in Sept. of each year. The new models released in Sept 2022 are called 2023 models.
