There is some ( perhaps a lot of) truth to what you say, but the other part of it, the buying into the racism by many members of the Hispanic and Black community, along with other minorities, is pretty amazing to me. I understand that Trump gave many on the lower end of the $$$ spectrum a convenient excuse to account for their misfortunes: foreigners and immigrants taking over their jobs. I just think the hardcore Right has a better strategy than the Dems. Each Party is moving further to the extreme and many Americans caught in the middle are choosing the lesser of two evils. The choice between Cruz and AOC is quite stark and the average American is more afraid of AOC. Plus, many Hispanics, like Kari Lake, have jumped on the Trump bandwagon, so it becomes difficult to make the racist accusation. And how about Senator Scott from SC, as Black and pro Trump as can be. I do agree with you to a point, but I am looking at this from a practical point of view of winning elections and the race card strategy won't cut it.
