Even if China opens up, the global economic slowdown is real, and it is already happening in the US. While China is a huge user of commodities, their growth prospects will be blunted by the property market problems as well as lower export.

With a typical Chinese wage earner saving 50% of their income due to the lack of a safety net, stimulating consumer spending is also difficult, particularly when they could be locked down again at any time.
