Ken! It seems like yesterday, but it was almost a year ago, my computer kept hanging. Mostly on the web, but mine was strangely correlated with power up, if it got through the first 5-10 minutes it was usually ok for a while. Needless to say, it drove me nuts. People sometimes say I used to be more mellow about Microsoft . . .

I would recommend the classic Microsoft maintenance procedure. Reinstall Windows. If that doesn't work, reformat the disk and reinstall. If that doesn't work, well, got me. I won't go quite so far as to say that Windows is corrupt, but it certainly seems eminently corruptible.
