I doubt Scholz can be a leader who veers away from the EU leadership mob, because the governance system of Germany is flawed making leadership difficult if not impossible, except as a spokesperson for the coalition that happens to govern.

OTOH, Xi just solved to issue of coalition, and populated the leadership structure w/ his own, as all leaders should.

In such a case, dubious that Scholz and Xi can arrive at any agreement on anything because their respective sovereignty score is too far apart.

And clearly the German governing authority either does not or cannot take care of Germany industry.

An aside, and first, again emphasising I am agnostic in case of doubt, as far as the cause(s) of the Ukraine war is concerned, and when it started, but that last night I dialogued with an Ukrainian, Jack's one time tutor, and he had always been keen on geopolitics and such. We agreed that Europe is phucked. He was a onetime student leader during the Maidan episode. He agreed it is a good idea that he stays put in HK for this round. I knew back in March he was pondering returning to Ukraine to fight. There are a bunch of Ukrainians in HK, many in the education sector.

Re Alex, his YT shows are a daily consumable along with several others. They go well with morning coffee.

His particular format of walking around the cities is wonderful, as if I am walking ... and seeing.

On the other side of the Ukraine war fence Denys is also good, for his enthusiasm even during the now more frequent blackouts and occasional walk around the near-frontline.

Speaking of which, this day's curation. I do these lists before my day gets underway and watch them by and by during the course of day whilst doing whatever else not requiring 100% focus on the whatever
