DEC cuts workstation prices (February 11, 1998: 1:50 p.m. ET) Reductions as much as 10 percent cover both Intel, Alpha chip models... cnnfn.com Instead of the UNIX operating system, the machines come pre-loaded with Microsoft Corp.'s Windows NT Workstation 4.0. ===================================================================== Too bad these machines do not come pre-loaded with the Solaris OS. I checked out the SUNW site you posted but I am still waiting for the specifications on the Windows-NT add-on card. There are lot's of users out there that have Windows applications that need a platform that can run these programs. Therefore, SUN needs to address this function in their low end Ultra line. EKS
